Welcome to SI Cambridge

Stop the Trafficking

Soroptimist International of Cambridge has been making a difference to the lives of women and girls locally, nationally and internationally since 1947 through education, empowerment and leadership projects.

What do we do?

Have a look at our projects or catch up on our latest news. Check the club diary to see what’s coming up – and even take a look at this year’s president.

It really helps our work for Soroptimist International to have consultative status at the United Nations and to be recognised as a Non-Governmental Organisation representing women from all over the world.

Internationally we have campaigned for the abolition of landmines and cluster bombs, raised £1 million to help women in Sierra Leone restore their lives and families after 20 years of civil war, and provided fresh water and sanitation for schools in Africa.

Who are we?

We have members from in and around the city, including Cambridge, Huntingdon, Ely and Saffron Walden. We meet twice a month at the Meadows Community Centre in Cambridge and welcome friends and visitors to any meeting.

So browse through our website. If you like what you see, and would like to know more, just get in touch.

We’ll welcome your enquiry in the customary Soroptimist way – in friendship.
