Litter Picking – July 2022

Thank you for the good support from Jen, Gerry and Jane M. We certainly did our bit for SIGBIs day of action on Climate Change! Jen single handedly did a lot to protect the River Wear hanging off one off the landing stages dredging lager cans from the water, posterior in the air ! But she vetoed any photos!! We collected a lot of rubbish but worryingly at tent bag and a blanket so folk must be living rough in the more wooded parts.

The weather was beautiful but not too hot as we were in the shade and we gained many positive comments from passers by. People definitely appreciated what we were doing. The reward of lunch in the Cloisters was a very enjoyable finale.
