Silverdale Coffee Morning 18 May 2019

Coffee and a Chat Despite or maybe because of an overcast outlook the coffee morning was well attended. With lots of bargains on offer particularly on the Bric-A-Brac stall. Members of Soroptimist Lancaster also served teas and coffees and manned the other stalls on offer.

Take Some Time Out

A Walk through Fairfield Several members took some time out to walk the circular route through the Fairfield area. Starting in the Millennium Green and Community Orchard which was created and in 2012/13. The walk continued through established nature reserves on farmland nearby as well

26th Charter Anniversary Lunch 2019

Lancaster Soroptimists 26th Birthday Party We celebrated our 77th Charter anniversary on Sunday 22nd of April with drinks and canapés at our 2018-2019 President’s home then on to a  Sunday lunch at the Fleece in Dolphinholme.  

Summer Outing

On Thursday 26th June 2018, we visited The Apple Store at Scorton where we enjoyed a walk by the lake and explored the gardens followed by afternoon tea.  

Charter Anniversary

On Sunday 22nd April we celebrated our 76th Charter Anniversary.  We had a very informal affair in the form of a lunch at The Fleece, Dolphinholme and were joined by some ‘Soroptimisters’ (husbands/partners).  We had such a good time that we plan to return to

World Water Day

World Water Day was celebrated on 6th April 2018 by a Wine into Water Evening raising funds for WaterAid.

Membership Month

Membership Month is celebrated annually in May with the aim of encouraging new members. We have a display in Lancaster Library and a Club speaker meeting open to all. Our speaker at the Open Meeting on 24th May 2018 was  Steve Halliwell who spoke about
