The Art School for Rebel Girls ran for 3 years, supporting girls who were at risk of exclusion using art as a vehicle for confidence building. The project involved art professionals and post and undergraduate students from the University of Leeds.
Two exhibitions of their work were held in the city centre and at Leeds University. Radio interviews were given by some of the previously shy pupils demonstrating their increased confidence. Links made with overseas students as well as projects in other cities in the UK. We’ve been delighted with the the project
and the pathways it has led to for all concerned.
