As we are all aware on the 25th of November the United Nations will be launching its annual Unite campaign. ‘The Elimination of Violence against Women’. During the 16 days of activism, the Kenilworth Soroptimists will be involved in various ways which culminate on the last day with an Orange Cafe. Hopefully, the local Media will become involved and we can show the steps we are taking within this campaign. President Amanda and all club members would be delighted if you could come along to the Orange Cafe on the 25th and help us raise funds all of which are in support of our local Women’s Refuge.   Please click on the thumbnail below for further details:-

Time to dig out your favourite orange jumper, the MAR Christmas Meeting will soon be here! President Liz invites you to the next Regional Meeting on December 2nd at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth. This will be our usual Christmas Meeting accompanied by a Christmas Lunch.  We will be celebrating Orange the World, 16 days of Activism, so remember to wear Orange for our meeting and the picture together at the end of it. There will also be a used bra collection, blankets for the “Hamlin Fistula” collection, and a collection of preloved handbags for the Charity “Love Grace”. President Liz cordially invites you to join together with other members for Remembrance Day on November 12th at the National Memorial Arboretum.  The Three Regions Presidents will be attending to lay the Wreaths at the SIGBI Memorials. The morning starts at 10.30 a.m. with the Memorial Service and the SIGBI Wreaths will be laid at around 11.30 a.m. If you plan to attend you will need to book your parking ticket in advance at a cost of £4.00. President Liz is pleased to invite all members to the next Regional Meeting which includes the AGM on Saturday, September 23rd again at the Abbey Hotel, Redditch. As we are giving members the opportunity to speak about the Convention we will not be running the PA Awards this year.
