SI Nantwich & District 76th Charter Dinner 6th July 2026.
The evening, held at Richmond Village Nantwich was hosted by Helen Piddock-Jones.
The Club was honoured to welcome Federation President Gillie O’Rourke who proposed the Soroptimist toast.
Club members and partners were delighted to welcome guests from two other SI Clubs in our region:
Louise, Penny, Alison, Hilary, Jayne and Joanne from SI Northwich.
Iris, Sandra, Ann, Stella, Vinita and Glenys from SI Heswall.
The entertainment for the evening was a talk entitled Goose Grease and Brown Paper, a hilarious yet informative reminiscence by Kath Reynolds of traditional remedies that all can remember from their childhood.
At the Regional meeting on Saturday 4th July the Club was chosen as the recipient of the Barbara Dixon Award. Members were delighted and passed their thanks to Marian Wade, PAC Officer, who had been instrumental in delivering the County Lines Project, in Crewe, from conception to completion.
The Project display board were present at the Charter Dinner for all Members to view.
The vote of thanks for the speaker was given by Dr Angela Pugh who passed some pertinent remarks, memories on home remedies and treatments used during her early career as a GP.
The closing remarks were given by Helen Piddock-Jones who presented flowers to Federation President Gillie.
