Saturday afternoon (16 May) Yvonne and Tracy from SI Belfast enjoyed a lovely social outing to see Christina Reid’s play, Tea in a China Cup.
Set across three turbulent decades in Belfast, the production explored memory, family, tradition, and the resilience of women through times of uncertainty and change. With warmth and a lot of Northern Irish humour, the play captured the strength and endurance of ordinary women living through extraordinary moments in Belfast’s history. It was funny, heartfelt, and deeply moving.
Tracy Tsang was invited to share SI Belfast club’s 16 days of activism campaign to end violence against women (25 November to 10 December). In 2024, Tracy led a banner campaign to make and display messages of encouragement and support for women experiencing domestic violence. In 2025, she organised the postbox toppers campaign for the 16 days of activism. In October 2025, she accepted the SIGBI Best Practice Award for Advocacy on behalf of SI Belfast club. She thanked our club members, volunteers and partners for their support, Nexus and White Ribbon NI.
