Members regularly provide food and other items such as sanitary protection which is then passed on to the Foodbank.

The number of items donated increased following a talk on the need for foodbanks and the work they do, which meant that members were much better informed on the work carried out and the demands on the Foodbank. The need for support is increasing over time, and the current pandemic has led to a considerable increase in demand which is likely to continue well into the future.
An emergency donation was made from club funds in May and we continue to provide support. Food donations from members were delivered to the central store at the beginning of July and further monetary donations have been made, helping to provide access to power for their customers. As one member said, there is no point in providing food if people have no way to cook it.
