We had a lovely evening at Sykeside Country House Hotel celebrating Christmas last night. Good food and good company made the night a really lively event for club members.
We had drama – a member received a phone call during the meal to tell her her daughter-in-law’s waters had broken (Good luck Mary hope all went well!)
We had confusion – the list of who’d chosen to eat what had been left behind (well done Maureen!) but we multi-tasked admirably and by a process of elimination we think everybody got what they asked for (or if they didn’t they didn’t complain!)
We had hilarity with some really bad Christmas cracker jokes – Why was Santa’s little helper depressed? Because he had low elf esteem !!
We’d like to wish all members, our friends, family and colleagues a merry Christmas and all the best for 2014!
