A Christmas Message from our Club President, Alison Driver.
It’s probably an understatement to say that perhaps 2020 wasn’t quite what we expected! For the members of Soroptimist International Rossendale it’s been a chance to welcome new members, learn new skills, create new projects, and raise funds for charity.
As this year draws to a close, we ‘ve reflected on the importance of friendship and support for each other and our community. Whenever we’ve met this year we’ve talked about what we’re thankful for. Consistently we’ve recognised how lucky we are to be part of a Valley community that has developed such strong links to support each other and the most vulnerable people at this challenging time. We’ve made new friends and new partnerships which we hope to build on in 2021.
On behalf of Rossendale Soroptimists, I wish you, your family, and friends, a peaceful Christmas. Whilst it may be a very different Christmas than you would choose, the prospect of lighter nights, better weather and a vaccine will sustain us all through the winter months. We look forward to meeting you all again in person very soon.
