December – Soroptimists in the local Community

The month began with Soroptimists supporting the Christmas Lights in St Austell and holding a Chocolate Tombola stall during the first of the Late Night Shopping nights. At the December meeting cheques were presented to representatives of local charities ATAXIA, STAK and Tanya’s Courage Trust. Members were asked to supply soft toys for one of the local refuges, dozens of teddies answered the call. During the meeting Santa paid the members a visit with gift for everyone. For the first time Soroptimists joined other  organisations and decorated a tree in St Petrocs Bodmin. It was dressed of course in Soroptimist colours of white & blue with silver. After the Church service many members and friends had supper at The Westberry Hotel in Bodmin
