Beatrice Dyer of the Phoenix appeal received a cheque for £520 from Barbara Trenerry and Carole Gardner. They had held a weekly tombola stall at Charlestown Church Hall every Wednesday from June to September. Club members had donated the items on the stall. Beatrice spoke about the work of the trust not only in Phoemix ward at Treliske but in hospitals in Camborne, Bodmin and in the community. She gave examples of what the money could be spent on from items of equipment to an educational DVD that can be used to inform patients who have suffered a stroke and their family of the help available and the road to recovery.
