SI Sunderland AGM

On the evening of the 12th April SI Sunderland held their Annual General Meeting. It was a special night as we presented cheques from funds raised during the year. President Sue was delighted to give Archer Court Residents Fund £1,000 towards activities. The Sunderland Branch of RNLI were presented with £450 and Joan Heckels Trustee of Impact Family Services was given £100 to spend on items for women fleeing domestic violence. We have also sent £450 to Smile Train the charity working across the world with children suffering from cleft palate and lip.
We also ushered in a new way of working and for the first time in our history will start a new year without a President. Members will share responsibility for organising and hosting meetings and social events throughout the year. Programme Acton will of course still continue.
Thanks go to President Suzanne Brown who has served the Club as President for the last 22 months, she now can have a well deserved rest from duties!
