How the Club is Governed

 

In past years the Club always had a President who oversaw and drove the agenda of the club’s business. Since 2023 we have changed this to a more collaborative system with members taking over Officer roles.

Legally the club needs a Secretary, Treasurer and Programme Action Officer to exist. The Executive Committee agreed it would be sensible for Club Members with defined roles to remain on the Executive Committee to steer the work of the Club. These roles are:

  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Programme Action Officer
  • Membership Officer
  • Events Officer
  • Communications Officer

Others may be co-opted as and when necessary.

Club Members will volunteer to organise speakers, demonstrations or other activities at the supper evenings.
