On Saturday 2nd September 2023 Ruth and Roger hosted a fund-raising afternoon to raise money for WaterAid.
Club members provided items for the Tombola and Bring and Buy stall and these were very ably set up and managed by Liz and Bryan.
Ruth baked cakes to sell (Ginger and Date & Walnut) and Roger baked cakes to eat. In addition, their neighbour baked sponge buns with fresh cream.
The neighbours also took over washing up duties for which Ruth was very grateful.
With donations from friends and members who were not able to attend the amount raised was £601.
