Explaining how local women have been instrumental in driving change.

‘Compassion Belfast’ members attending Conference can donate sanitary and essential products enabling others to benefit long after we leave, therefore providing a lasting legacy.

The Flag Ceremony ensued, supported by young women who have achieved high levels of excellence in academia within their chosen fields of STEM, music, arts, Irish dance and sports to name but a few.

Each young woman who accompanied a flag bearer had a description of their achievements described.

The music was extremely moving. seeing each of the women walk proudly with the flags greeted on stage by our Federation President Cathy Cottridge was empowering.

The Flag Ceremony culminated with the presentation of the flags of United Nations and Soroptimist International.

The final image was that of young women, who are most definitely ‘our hope for the future’.

Upstanding, we re-affirmed our Vision and Mission, followed by a rousing roll call.
