SI Bridgend has four Friendship Links.
Williamsburg in Virginia, USA, Courtenay in British Columbia, Canada and Uusikaupunki in Finland were set up well over 50 years ago. Since 2000, we have also forged links with Moreton North Inc. in Queensland, Australia.
Members have visited Williamsburg and Uusikaupunki and a member of SI Courtenay has spent some time in Wales with members of the club. As well as being in regular contact by email, we have this last year enjoyed a number of zoom meetings with our Friendship links in Canada, Australia and Finland. This has rejuvenated and consolidated the special links we have had throughout the years. Much missed member Carys Brown visited SI Moreton North Inc a number of times, officially confirming our Friendship Link.
