Soroptimist International - Llandudno and District

Soroptimist International of Llandudno and District is part of a worldwide organisation of women, which is linked to the United Nations.

Welcome to SI Llandudno and District

Soroptimists International Llandudno and District are one of many clubs in the Cheshire, North Wales and Wirral Region. Our club members are a friendly group of women from around the county of  Conwy.

We have a good mix of social events as well as raising the profile of causes connected with women and raising some money for charities. We support causes internationally, nationally and locally such as the local Women’s Refuge and Food Bank.

We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is interested in what we do and will gladly send out more information or arrange to meet for an informal chat.

Speaker meetings November & January

In November we welcomed  Sam Hodgins, who gave a very informative presentation on  Dementia Awareness. We are pleased to say that all  members present are now recognised as Dementia Friends.

Also in November, some of our members attended the Remembrance Sunday service in Llandudno and laid a wreath at the Cenotaph.

At our January speaker meeting, Nia Higginbotham gave a fascinating talk about ‘Grandmothers’ Peace’ and the 1923 Women of Wales Peace Appeal.
