On Saturday 3rd June, we had an enjoyable day at the Regional Conference held at Theatr Clwyd, Mold.
We heard an interesting and inspiring lecture by Dr Fay Short on the “Psychology of Abuse”.
This gave us a better understanding of the issues involved when dealing with cases of domestic violence, child abuse , modern day slavery, etc.
For fun, members of SI Heswall gave us a demonstration of the use of the items contained in a Story Sack to illustrate a story.
The members make all the contents, which are designed to help children in local schools with their reading.
SI Llandudno member Eirwen was very lucky to win a beautiful quilt in the raffle organised by Si Ellesmere Port.

The quilt was made by a lady in the USA and donated to SI Ellesmere Port to raise funds for the Meru Garden Project, our Federation project to help women in Kenya become self sufficient.
