To mark ANTI-SLAVERY DAY, members obtained permission to put up a stand at the entrance to our local Asda. We shared the stall with local charity Haven of Light. The aim was to raise awareness of MODERN DAY SLAVERY. Members did well, handing out information and asking shoppers to show their support by signing the PURPLE TEARDROP CAMPAIGN petition.
At the recent Club meeting, members enjoyed an interesting talk by Celia Williams from INCREDIBLE EDIBLE in Conwy, a voluntary group who plant food in council beds, for the public to pick and eat.
Members wore pink to highlight BREAST AWARENESS week and a raffle raised funds for TREASURE CHEST, a local breast cancer charity.
