On 6 September, Carol McKeough hosted a summer buffet at her home. Although Carol was recovering from a series of recent surgeries and still wearing a plaster cast on her right, she was the perfect host as always.
Members attending brought along a variety of salad dishes to accompany the various cooked meats and some delicious desserts. We were fortunate that the weather was dry, and we could sit outside enjoying the food and company of Soroptimist friends.
It was a great afternoon enjoyed by all and the good news is that with donations £140 was raised. This money will be used to print materials as we launch the health/unhealthy relationship materials produced by Maplesden Noakes pupils for year 7 pupils in schools within Medway and Maidstone.
