Our new Soroptimist Statue was officially unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum on 18th September. At last Soroptimists from all over Great Britain and Ireland were going to see the statue representing our organisation, and also to celebrate 100 Years of Soroptimism.

SI Midland Chase President-Elect Judith Carder will take modern slavery as the theme for her year in 2021-2. It’s also a subject that fits within our current Presidential theme of Mind The Gap. Judith recently arranged an excellent short training course for SIMC members delivered by Voice of Hope a Stoke on Trent based charity raising awareness of, and working to end modern slavery. Hello Everyone We have been beset by one or two April Showers this month. It is also the month of change at SI with thank yous to our lovely outgoing Club Presidents and welcome to our new ones. I look forward to arranging a Zoom Meeting in July with all our new Club Presidents and afterwards meeting new Club PA Officers to hear your plans and ideas.

Hello there Ladies – Stay Safe. This month I had meetings with all Club Programme Action Officers to see what you were up to – terrific stuff. I also met with all Club President to ask how Clubs are feeling at present. I was heartened to meet everyone at both meetings. I think everyone was glad to see other clubs as recompense for not being able to visit and support each other as we usually do. There was good conversation and, as you can imagine, a few laughs too. Thank you all!
