After months of planning our Regional Conference 2022: Progress Not Perfection, finally took place on Saturday 14th May 2022. It was a truly beautiful spring day – warm and sunny – which showed the delightful location at Brocton Hall Golf Club to its very best advantage.
As I write my Regional President’s message for April we have just celebrated Easter, a time of new beginnings and feelings of renewed hope for the future. This is also the time when as clubs we take on new roles following changes at our AGMs. We should embrace these opportunities and fresh challenges as we evolve and move forward. We can learn so much from one another not only within our individual clubs, but by sharing good practice and supporting other clubs within Midland Chase Region.
Club Focus is a new feature on our website which is designed to help Clubs learn from each other and find informal opportunities to collaborate if they wish. Our very first Club Focus turns the spotlight onto SI Cannock & District – who’ve not only been welcoming new members, but have been putting the emphasis very firmly on friendship, fun and good mental health.
I cannot believe that we are already well into March – time is passing so quickly and quite a bit has been going on since last month’s Regional President’s Message.

As part of my year as Regional President I would like to have a lasting record of members’ personal views of our theme, and of course I need your help with this. Our new Soroptimist Statue was officially unveiled at the National Memorial Arboretum on 18th September. At last Soroptimists from all over Great Britain and Ireland were going to see the statue representing our organisation, and also to celebrate 100 Years of Soroptimism.
