Rebecca Smith told us about the work of the charity Street Child UK. This charity works with children in Sierra Leone and Liberia who have been orphaned by Ebola. Street Child UK helps in the form of food packages, school fees, business grants and advice. Rebecca was a super speaker and gave us an excellent and thought provoking start to our year. What is more, because of her research before our meeting, and her welcome it the meeting, she is intending to become a member of a London Soroptimist club, win-win situation I say!
