Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women worldwide. Early detection of breast cancer can be improved by regular self-examination of one’s breasts. Regular self-examination facilitates early detection of changes occurring within the breast, enabling early diagnosis and treatment.
SI Rossendale members all completed this on line survey which aims to find out whether women know how to regularly examine their breasts. We also seek to find out whether women would like to be reminded to examine their breasts, and if so, which method would be preferred. Following on from the survey, we hope to work in collaboration with other stakeholders to implement or advertise the most preferred reminder method.
