An important day in the Soroptimist year, raising awareness of womens issues and celebrating the acheivements of women. Women all over the world come together to mark this event . This year the theme is Enough is Enough, a call to end violence against women and girls. We remember in particular Malala Yousafzai in Pakistan and Damini Amanat in India SI Plymouth organised a day at The Roland Levinsky building Life Choices – Every Woman Matters, there were speakers on Sexting, Domestic Abuse & Alcohol & Drug Awareness as well demonstrations and stalls covering health, education & beauty. Prof Levinsky’s widow officially opened the event. President Libby, Region Vice President Kay and Region Federation Councillor Wendy all attended the event. Wendy also joined the Women Only March in Truro on Sat 9th.
