The presentations of trophies to winning teams and cheques to the four charities took place on Thursday 30th April at Cheddon Fitzpaine Memorial Hall. Swimathon Co-ordinator, Christine Briggs, welcomed all winning team members and friends and charity representatives. She announced the total raised this year was £15,736.01. However, there was prolonged applause when Christine mentioned that over its 27 year history the grand total raised by the Swimathon is £577,155.09!
Joint Presidents, Kate Goodwin and Sally Williams presented the trophies to the winning team members and a cheque for £3,934 to each of the charity representatives.
