I was welcomed into our club as President at our online AGM on the 15th April 2020. It’s an honour to follow so many wonderful past presidents. I hope I will live up to expectations but there is no precedent set for our Covid-19 lockdown situation. Our members are positive and have reacted quickly to change, embracing new technologies to help us continue our work. We have planned Zoom club and committee meetings, as well as using other methods of communication. We are being inventive thanks to the positive and willing attitude of our members to change. I’m very proud to be President of such an active club who is so willing to take up the challenges of lockdown, isolation and social distancing, with a determination to carry on with our important work. We shall continue our focus of helping women and girls, locally, nationally and internationally. We are in this together and will come out even stronger than ever. I look forward to my presidency knowing I have supportive members helping me.
