During the summer break we were treated to a delightful Tea Party on 30th August hosted by Lucy and Gish to raise funds for our Club’s charity of the year Next Link.
Members and friends enjoyed a cream tea in Lucy’s lovely garden on a warm summer day. As always David and Peter two of our Soroptomisters showed off their excellent “waiting skills”. In addition to the tea, we sold books and plants to increase the funds and raised over £198. Thank you, Lucy and Gish, for a lovely afternoon.
Then on 19th September Susan G and Maureen organised one of their famous Beetle Drives.
As always it was a fun evening supported not only by those attending but by donations from those unable to attend. The event raised £343 and included a very successful raffle.Thank you, Susan G and Maureen, for a very successful fun evening.
