What We Do

Our Mission is to educate, empower and enable women and girls at home and throughout the world to fulfil their potential. This is how we do it:

We raised awareness and  funds for Chora Chori  a project to empower girls in Nepal.

We made Baby Bundles for the Derby Community Parenting Programme to be distributed to mothers in need.

We raised funds for Toilet Twinning  and managed to get local people (including the Mayor of Derby) to Twin their Toilets, thus helping to fund the provision of toilets and clean water. We funded a toilet block in a school in Uganda which enabled girls to attend school more safely. See https://www.toilettwinning.org/ for more information.

We provide emergency welcome packs for a Derbyshire Women’s refuge twice a year.

We support International Women’s Day each year.

We work in the garden of the local Mother and Baby Unit in order to help provide the mums and babies with a pleasant relaxing space.

We usually have fun while we raise awareness of issues and raise money for various projects.

We have been involved in tree planting to help fight climate change.

Bookmark1 We campaign to eliminate violence against women

We mark Human Rights Day by holding a frugal lunch and preparing Christmas presents for children leaving care.

We are joining in with the campaign to recycle blister packs, which , as well as helping to reduce plastic waste, provides some funds for Marie Curie.
