Recently, Reigate and Banstead Women’s Aid (RBWA ) were provided with toys and games, kindly donated by the families of pupils attending Wemms Education Centre in Leatherhead. The toys were loaded into 4 cars with the help of staff and head boy Saul from Wemms. The toys were then taken by members of SI Epsom and District to a new refuge in Surrey.
There, they were met by a number of refuge staff who unloaded the toys and games, saying that they would be distributed to families, not only to this particular refuge but other refuges managed by RBWA .
The Services manager at RBWA presented a letter which stated the following: “I am writing to say thank you very much to you and your colleagues, for the kind donations that you have collected for the families at RBWA. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are much appreciated. You will be helping to put a huge smile on the faces of the women and children residing with us, so thank you. It can be a difficult time in refuge but you are helping to make a huge difference to the lives of those in our care.”
