Monday 8th – New Year’s Celebration
Monday 12th – Rachel Chenery and her experiences of playing her harp with national orchestras
Thursday 8th – International Women’s Day
Members will be in the Market Place in Epsom with Sarb Athwal promoting “True Honour” – raising awareness of ‘Honour Killings’, FGM, Forced Marriage and Modern Day Slavery.
Monday 12th – “The March of the Women: Surrey’s Road to the Vote” (See item)
Monday 9th – AGM. An opportunity to look back on our achiements over the last twelve months.
Saturday 12th – We’ll be at Cheam Charter Fair from 9.30 until 1.00.
Monday 14th – “Stalking” 7.30 p.m. at St. John’s Church, Station Approach, Stoneleigh KT19 0QZ
Visitors are invited to a special open meeting to hear a talk by Hamish Brown MBE ‘Stalking and Harassment’.
Hamish retired from New Scotland Yard’s Specialist Crime Directorate after over 30 years service with the Metropolitan Police. He was awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for his services to vic*ms of harassment. A specialist in the offence of stalking and harassment, he is considered the United Kingdom’s acknowledged authority on the subject, expert in the interpretation, practice and application of legislation and an advisor on the formulation of UK policy.

Monday 11th – Liz Dobson from Epsom Citizens Advice will be talking about the help given to women by her organisation. She will cover the wide range of issues that she and the volunteers deal with on a daily basis and the advice and information that they can offer.
Thursday June 28th – Charity Antique Valuation Evening 7.30 p.m. at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane
Come along with your treasures* and let our expert assess their worth. Entrance is free with a charge of £5.00 for every item valued. My Time for Young Carers and East Surrey Domestic Abuse Services (ESDAS) will benefit from your support. (*Sorry, not paintings, books, autographs or furniture.) Refreshments will be available and there is plenty of parking.
Monday 9th – An end of year club get-together “My musical heritage“.
Saturday July 14th – National Day for the Remembrance of Honour Killings. We will be recognising this day in partnership with ‘True Honour’.
Saturday 11th – 3.30 – 5.00 p.m. Afternoon Tea in aid of African Vision Malawi (Address on request from firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hopefull we’ll have a super sunny afternoon and plenty of visitors to raise more funds to support Grace’s education and the vital work of African VIsion Malawi.
