For 6 days starting on Monday 27th April Club member Janice played 26 tunes on her flute in aid of the Soroptimist project Empowering Girls in Nepal as her Challenge 26.1. The project supports rape survivors, trafficked and vulnerable girls as they rebuild their lives. Having not played a great deal recently Janice built up playing more tunes each day playing 26 on the final day but clocking up over 102 tunes on the way. On Saturday 2nd May neighbours and passers by enjoyed a al fresco concert in glorious sunshine. As well as giving joy to many people Janice raised the amazing amount of £760 in sponsorship.
