The summer outing took place on a warm and showery overcast day but that did not stop the enjoyment. Despite the country still being in the grip of the Covid pandemic there was a great turn out for the event.
A canal boat ride starting near Barton and wending it way through the bucolic scenery. The decorations were lavish. The roof of the boat decorated with balloons and ball in SI colours. Each table had a beautiful floral arrangement in a dainty China cup. But best of all were number shaped balloons to celebrate the SI centenary.
