On Saturday 12th April, members of SI Llandudno and SI Rhyl presented their joint programme action project at the regional event being held at Glasdir Conference Centre in Llanrwst. The bees project raises awaremess in local schools of the declining numbers of bees and their importance to the environment.
The “bees” had fun dressing up and buzzing about the stage, before succumbing to pesticides and pollution.
In the afternoon session, Regional President Hilary welcomed Dr Elin Haf Davies, who gave an inspirational talk about her adventures rowing across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, and sailing acrtoss the Pacific Ocean. Regional President Elect Stella gave the vote of thanks.
