Soroptimist International Llandudno & District are fundraising for Tenovus this year.
The speaker at the meeting held on June 9th was Debbie Rowley, fundraising coordinator for Tenovus Cancer Care which provides support for anyone affected by cancer throughout Wales. The charity offers a support line run by qualified nurses, mobile treatment/ support units, cancer support advisors in hospitals and also counselling. They fund research by sponsoring PhD students in Welsh universities and run ‘Sing with us’ choirs for those affected by cancer.
Members are looking forward to a lunch on Saturday, supporting a charity which helps street children in Mumbai.
