CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SISTER CLUB SI FREETOWN ON THEIR 25TH ANNIVERSARY
Their update follows:
“Our projects are going well.
With friendship links to SI Nottingham and Gravesend we have provided scholarships to 26 children of health workers who succumbed to the Ebola virus disease, at schools in Freetown and Bo.
This is in addition to our ongoing girl’s scholarship programme in Freetown.
We are working on a skills training programme for women Ebola survivors near Freetown (one of the most affected communities in the country).
This year we will be sponsoring radio outreach across the country in our zero
tolerance to domestic violence programme.
These our just a few of our projects. We thank all our sister clubs who help
us to stand tall in promoting Soroptimism here.”
Members of SI Nottingham heartily congratulate SI Freetown on their achievements and projects.
