SI NOTTINGHAM KANNEH MASON CONCERT
We are so grateful to the wonderful Kanneh Mason Family for donating their time and talents to raise money for these great causes.
Message from StreetChild UK:
“Our recent Girls Speak Out campaign saw us support 7,000 girls in West Africa to go to school. And through our latest project in Nepal, we will support 3000 girls from the Musahar community – the most politically marginalised, economically exploited and socially outcast group in Nepal, with a mere 3.8% literacy rate amongst women and girls, to learn basic literacy and numeracy skills and with livelihood support.
We’re hugely grateful to the Soroptimists of Nottingham, an organisation dedicated to making a better life for women and girls, for their kind support. The money raised from their Kanneh Mason charity concert will enable us to continue to provide education for children in the world’s toughest places.”
Street Child UK were thrilled with their share of the money raised: it is enough to renovate a rural school in West Africa, allowing 200 children to get education.
