Lynne and President Sue joined Sigbi members from eight other branches for an informative and fun visit to Wakefield's Rhubarb Triangle at Jonathan and Sue Westwoods' Rhubarb farm followed by  lunch at an Italian restaurant.

Thanks and congratulations to Iffat for her Friendship Evening, described by a guest as magical. Everyone enjoyed a wide variety of her most delicious foods, the good company and interesting conversations.. Happy faces all round.

February's Business meeting took on a party atmosphere. We were delighted that Yorkshire Region President, Susie Westwood, joined us as we celebrated Hilary's honorary membership award. Our President Sue presented the award together with flowers and goodies while Daphne's beautiful cake accompanied our raised glasses of prosecco. Lynne was presented with her name badge

The Orange Cafe was held in the Cathedral Shop, five of our members were present to describe and discuss our aims and activities with members of the public.

Farah's very popular Annual Curry Night was, as usual a great success. Delicious food, good company and money raised a magnificent £931.30 for the women of Karachi. Congratulations to Farah and her helpers

Ann, Eva and Gill undertook converting our members' Christmas donations; whether cash or kind, into gift parcels for 58 refugee families. More good work, well done.

Congratulations to President Sue and Anne for organising such a successful Christmas Supper, including a quiz - more challenging than first expected. Special thanks to Jackie for the pretty chocolate favours.

05/12/23 Daphne kindly hosted a 'Coffee and Cake Morning in aid of MINS. The fund-raising - delicious cakes, biscuits etc were complemented by 'What Women Want' , 'the card lady', Jackie's tree, a raffle, and Guess the Bear's name;  in total raising the grand sum of £508. Thanks and congratulations to who baked goods, made coffee, ran stalls and all those who gave so generously, 06/12/23 KES girls' Bun Sale. Unsold cakes, etc from the coffee morning were added to the 'Bun Sale' goodies . Another £149.63 to MINS. Great work by the girls. N.B Our Sue Sheriff won the Bear's Name competition. 07/12/23 Remaining items were donated to Winn Gardens Food Bank.

Fun and fund raising at November's supper evening. Thanks to  Nicola and Louise, great ambassadors for Temple Spa, who ensured that we all enjoyed the test kits.  The raffle raised £92  for Mums in Need. Congratulations to the organisers
