Smalls for all

Smalls for All is a small independent charity providing new and gently used bras and new knickers to women and girls in Africa.  New items are donated to enable women and girls in Africa to attend school and retain their dignity when out of their homes and helps protect women from unwanted attention. The ‘gently worn’ bras are sent to help people in developing economies like Africa earn an income by selling bras.

Our first collection in November 2018 was in Godalming and supported by the Borough Hall and Surrey Butchers. We were delighted to collect 69 bras and 25 pairs of knickers.

Phase 2 of our project began in January 2019 when we were able to install a collection bin at the Royal Surrey County Hospital where member Sheila is a volunteer. This has been very successful and our collection was boosted by a donation 84 bras from SI Gosport.

Since then we have collected and sent hundreds of new knickers and lightly used bras to Smalls for All. We were delighted to receive a message of thanks from the charity via their Facebook page.

We are continuing to support this thoughtful and inspiring initiative.
