Since 2020, we have supported “From Me To You“, a charity which distributes letters to cancer patients in hospitals.
We write anonymous letters to combate the isolation that cancer patients can experience and our letters are sent to women via the charity. In the six years, we have been working on this project, we have written over 300 letters and publicised the charity’s work to other Soroptimists.
We were chosen to host a poster at the Dublin Convention of 1800 Soroptimists, who saw the work and how it could be replicated.
And then From Me to You was chosen as the Conference project for the 2025 Conference in Birmingham. Over 100 letters were written by Soroptimists in the two days and over 400 notelets taken to their Clubs by Conference delegates to continue the work at their Clubs.

And it all started with your group. Letter numbers are still increasing, which is wonderful. Thank you so much.”
We continue to write letters and hope they bring some sunshine to their recipients’ time in hospital.
