Supporting Julia’s House at Wroughton Carnival

Soroptimists Staff a Stand

Four Swindon Soroptimists braved the weather to help Hannah, Community Fundraiser for Julia’s House, man a stand at Wroughton Carnival. We volunteered with Julia’s House last year as part of our Day of Service in 2023, so we were delighted to help them again for our Day of Service in 2024.

 Fun and Games

Splitting into two shifts we encouraged the hardy Festival goers to try their luck at the Tombola to win a teddy or to try the keys to ‘break out’ a game or toy from Jail!

We had great fun and helped Julia’s House raise £128 of greatly needed funds to continue the wonderful work they do in supporting children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

Julia’s House provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, providing frequent and regular support in their own homes, in the community or at its hospices. You can find out more about how to support their work here.
