Each year of the V Festival at Weston Park SI Cannock aided the V Festival clear-up so that all the items left by the festival visitors did not end up in land-fill.
We collected: chairs, tables, saucepans and other cooking utensils, umbrellas, unopened tins of food, buckets, washing up bowls – anything that could be used by women needing these things to set up home.
The items recovered went to the two local women’s refuges: The Pathway Project and Staffordshire Women’s Aid
Tents were collected, too. These were to be distributed in disaster areas throughout the world via Rotary and International Aid.
