A heart-warming development …
According to the British Heart Foundation “Women are twice as likely to die of coronary heart disease, the main cause of heart attack, as breast cancer in the UK. Yet it is still not always seen as a woman’s problem.”
Crosby Soroptimists have therefore set up a project to widen women’s access to information on heart health. (This follows a successful initiative by our sister club, SI Liverpool.)
In partnership with Liverpool Chest and Heart Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (at Broadgreen), we organised our first free heart health information event.
