Budding author Sue Williams (SI Harrogate & District) has just finished her first novel ‘Five Ladies And A Bus Called Bertha’.  Congratulations Sue!  The inspiration came during a summer lunch in 2019, while discussing how fingerprints wear away as you get older.  She thought how useful this would be if she embarked on a life of crime. The Violette Szabo GC Museum invites you to attend the 100-year celebration of her life, postponed from 2021 due to the pandemic. Violette gave her life for King and country and was executed in Ravensbruck Concentration Camp in 1945. The Founder and Owner of the museum is Soroptimist Rosemary Rigby MBE, who has organised a fantastic day in Wormelow. At 1.30 pm, a piper and the Violette Szabo racehorse will lead a parade to Violette’s museum. It is Rosemary’s wish that all the Soroptimists in the region are invited to attend. So, bring a picnic and chairs and enjoy a memorable day out. See the poster below for details. Rosemary can be contacted on 01981 540477 Violette Szabo
