Tie Collection for Purple Community fund

ALL TIED UP

Here are just a few of men’s ties collected in one evening by Nottingham Soroptimists.
These will be forwarded to the Purple Community Fund (www.p-c-f.org), based in Southampton.
The PCF livelihood programmes provide women with sustainable incomes by training them how to make beautiful upcycled products and the opportunity to start their own business. In this case, ties are used to make items such as tote bags and mobile phone cases. The families they work with want to earn a decent income to leave the slums and support their children. The PCF work in particular in the Philippines, where these women acquiring these skills are less likely to be the victim of human trafficking.
