The Audrey Jones Soroptimist Student Journalist Award 2023
On Thursday July 13th Karen and I were welcomed at Nottingham Trent University into an Oscars style award session; lots of broadcasting journalism awards were given with speeches and snippets of the top few nominations each time. Our winner was Kate Strong with “Bonded by a Stitch”. Kate was lovely, so thrilled and friendly. She was happy for us to put the film or whatever on our website and Facebook. She put it on YouTube but they took it down straight away because it has images of babies on it. She will be happy to speak to the club but it may have to be on Zoom as she is hoping for a job at GMTV in London.
