We were delighted to receive an update this morning from Seeds of Hope, the Vision Africa charity that SI Rossendale supports. All her siblings are in public school where the government offers free primary education. Karen had lost hope in

Our longest serving member, Dorothy Smith, reached another milestone recently, her 90th birthday! Club members wished Dorothy Happy Birthday at an afternoon tea held in her honour. Dorothy said she was “thrilled to see so many people attending”. Dorothy asked that instead of a gift club members contribute towards a cash donation in her name to the Bacup Aged Blind and Disabled Society, a group that Dorothy has supported for many years. With a variety of items to suit a wide range of ages and pockets Joan skilfully combined items from her lovely collections to display stunning outfits for the autumn and the up-coming party season. Joan will donate 10% of the proceeds from all sales made to any one from the fashion show audience visiting Joan’s Boutique in Harwood in the next 7 days. Please support this generous offer! Proceeds from tickets for the event and raffle sales are expected to reach £750, a marvellous achievement for the charities we are supporting.
