Soroptimist International (SI) encourages all club members to undertake and report on project work they have undertaken during the year. These projects form part of a much larger endeavour called Programme Action. All clubs use the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to develop their projects as well as the key themes of the SI Educate, Empower, Enable programme, and through networking and via the SI website, inform others of what they have accomplished.
All those who undertake such projects are invited to apply for an award. Known as Best Practice Awards, the aim of these awards is to recognise the amazing work all our members do in helping to make the world a better place for women and girls, and whilst there is always a winner, every club has in some small or bigger way contributed to creating a world in which we are all able to fulfil our potential.
