Our festive coffee morning, fundraising for Southend YMCA, was held at Porters –  the beautiful listed building that is ‘home’ to the town’s Mayor. The setting, coffee & cakes were all fabulous & got us in the Christmas mood. We were delighted to be joined by several guests who hadn’t been to one of our events before and we look forward to welcoming them to a meeting next year!

We had a great time at St Clement’s Church in Leigh selling bags, scarves & jewellery. We also made a lot of cups of tea &  coffee! All monies raised got to our President’s charity – Southend YMCA. Thanks to Jill the church warden for all her help and to those members who helped set up the church the night before!

On Thursday September 6th we are holding a buffet supper at the superb Chinese restaurant, the Pearl Dragon on Southend’s seafront. Tickets are £25 for a two course buffet supper plus coffee. There will be a raffle too!  Starts at 7pm. All proceeds will go towards our President’s fund which this year is supporting Southend YMCA.
